ORLANDO, FLA. (June 14, 2023) – Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated (HICV), a national vacation ownership company, announced today that it has established a new, wholly owned subsidiary in Bengaluru, India, to help accelerate its digital transformation and unlock future growth.
HICV’s new Competency Center will officially be launched in July 2023, and will allow HICV to increase its speed-to-market by having team members in a different time zone. Currently, the first two team members have been hired, with an estimated goal of hiring approximately 40 team members within its first year.
“This proven model will allow HICV to rely on a deep talent pool in the United States, Mexico, and India to deepen our commitment to customer service and growth, said John Staten, President and Chief Executive Officer at Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated. “Also, this is not an outsourcing of our operations to a third party. While other companies follow the outsourcing model, we feel that maintaining our culture requires us to fully control the HICV India operations. As such, teams working in India will be our colleagues and team members, not employees of a third party.”
Capitalizing on Bengaluru’s time difference – 9.5 hours ahead of HICV’s Corporate Office in Orlando, Fla. – the Center will provide a “follow-the-sun” model, that many companies utilize today. This will deliver significant benefits to HICV’s internal and external customers and heightened productivity to its team members.
