Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson manages the legal affairs of Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated and its affiliated companies, bringing more than 28 years of timeshare and business law experience to the Company. His expertise spans the fields of timeshare, resort development, real estate, advertising, sales and telemarketing, as well as general business relating to resort operations and management.

Since joining the Company in 1996, Michael has navigated through significant growth and evolution of Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated and the vacation ownership industry. He was a key leader during the Company’s establishment of the Holiday Inn Club exchange program, its expansion from a single site developer to 28 resorts and its strategic marketing alliance with IHG and its unprecedented 100-year extension in 2019.

Early in his career, Michael practiced with the national law firm BakerHostetler, where his practice focused on hospitality law representing timeshare and resort developers and managers. This representation included legal services to Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated and its affiliates prior to joining the Company in 1996.

Michael is a member of the Florida and Orange County Bar Associations and he is active in the American Resort Development Association, including participation on its Legislative Policy Council. Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida.

In his free time, Michael enjoys coaching youth soccer, traveling with his family and is an avid Florida Gators sports fan.
