ORLANDO, FLA. (June 27, 2018) – Orange Lake Resorts, home to the Holiday Inn Club Vacations® brand, recently hosted its 16th RCI® Christel House Open® at The Legends Golf Course located at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. $235,000 was raised for Christel House International, a charitable organization focused on transforming the lives of impoverished children around the world. More than 150 golfers representing 60 business partners participated in the tournament on June 11. Since its inception, the Orange Lake Resort tournament has raised more than $2 million for the charity’s cause, making it the largest and most successful Christel House fundraising golf event.

“Every year our team, partners and vendors impress me with how they support this incredible charity,” said Tom Nelson, President & CEO of Orange Lake Resorts. “The funds from this event alone, positively impact thousands of children from impoverished countries by providing quality education, healthcare and family support.”

“Holiday Inn Club Vacations and Orange Lake Resorts are setting the bar for corporate social responsibility by annually hosting a Christel House Open charity golf tournament,“ said Christel House International Founder and CEO, Christel DeHaan. “On behalf of nearly 5000 Christel House children around the world, we applaud their generosity and commitment. Their employees and volunteers work tirelessly to make this an event that golfers eagerly anticipate every year.
