A Resort Closure Message from President & CEO Tom Nelson

We’ve loved providing amazing vacation experiences for more than 38 years. During that time, we’ve seen thousands of families make countless memories at our Resorts. We’ve weathered some storms, but we’ve never seen anything like the unprecedented effects of this COVID-19 pandemic. And while family travel is our passion, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our owners, Club Members, guests and team members.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, including evolving guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and an increasing number of state and city orders. As a result, all Holiday Inn Club Vacations Resorts will be closed until at least June 1, 2020. This is a result of the evolving guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and various city and state orders. (Because of differing local orders, our Williamsburg Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia is scheduled to re-open on June 11th.)

Even though these resort closures were a necessary step to take, it was still very difficult – and not something we take lightly – knowing we were providing “home away from home” accommodations for owners, Club Members and guests in need and a place of work for so many of our dedicated team members.

While we anticipate most of our resorts remaining closed through May 31st, this could change given the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation. Optimistically, we’d love to re-open sooner, if it’s safe and appropriate to do so. We’ll continue to watch any and all state guidelines to evaluate earlier re-opening dates for our 29 resorts on a case-by-case basis.

For those of you who are interested in making new reservations, we thank you for your support and interest. Please note that we are currently accepting bookings for travel dates of June 1st and later. However, some of our resorts may be temporarily unavailable for bookings from time to time while we evaluate occupancies and the best possible ways to re-open our resorts safely for your enjoyment.

Rest assured though: once it’s deemed safe to travel again, we’ll be prepared to welcome you back with open arms, spacious accommodations, fun family activities and even higher standards of cleanliness. All so you can start creating new vacation memories with your families again when the time is right.
